Every Great Story has a beginning

So, If you stumbled upon this little blog O' mine, you must be wondering; " What the hell did I just run into?"

Well I will answer that for ya. You have stumbled into a world that is dedicated to video games. Now.. you might be asking, just who the hell are you? Well let me answer that for ya. My name is Tim but ALOT of people on the internet know me as "Dakondakblade" snip3ing whiz and a wallpaper/signature artist. You also may recognize me from sites such as as www.gamefaqs.com and ign, xplay etc. Pretty much like the profile says, I'm a  college student trying to get by. To do this I've gone through Graphic Design, Journalism and now I'm finishing off year 2 of advertising. 1 year to go! The goal is to get into a gaming magazine, or even a gaming site. Yeah it sounds hard, but hell it's possible, I pretty much guarantee it. That lovely pic is the cover I made for an E-zine based on computers.. For what was supposed to be a 6 page assignment it turned into a 47 page assignment, and my teacher loved it.

I'm a PC gamer at Heart, but I will try any game at least once. Proof of this is lately I've been playing DQ 9 and Pokemon White. Yeah no matter how old you are.. you can always count on catching a virtual sprite to make you feel like you're 4 again.. So what does this blog offer you? Well I'll be throwing weekly updates on here about the different games coming out (can you drool at the sound of Diablo 3?) and other tidbits in gaming culture.

I had a livejournal 4 years ago, so my HTML coding is rusty, so we'll take this post at facevalue, and from next week I'll do my best to make these posts stand out more. Admittedly this post is going to be fairly bland, but I'll spice things up when I get a chance. I mean yes it's fun and all to talk about polygons, the latest games and such, but that is nothing without some pictures to go along with it.

Oddly enough lately I've been playing a lot of older games. I mean as fun as it  is to go through horde with a few buddies in Gears of War, it's even more fun to try a 3 heart challenge in Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Have you tried that game with a 3 heart challenge? I mean sure you can easily beat the game with the full 20 hearts, but in a 3 heart game, an Iron Knuckle will make your day a living hell.

Now ironically as a contradiction to what I just said, I've also been putting a lot of time into DQ9. It's a fantastic game and I'm still going.. I'm on a solo challenge.. but my character is level 76 and she's completely and utterly trashing every grotto boss she comes against.. When the final boss can only deal you 10 damage with his strongest attacks, you know you could have spent just a little too much time in Bowhole... I'm also embarking on  Morrowind run sometime soon. Maybe make it no Enchanting or glass/daedric armor.. and of course my Beloved Chrono Trigger.. That's a low level run.. which is going to make Giga Gaia a complete and utter pain in the keester.

Ok so that is my first post. As you can tell I'm passionate about video games, and once I find out how to use this damn HTML in blogger, these posts will start to become a lot more engaging and not a wall of text.
PS: As soon as I get a chance to teach myself these dratted HTML things for Blogger, I'll do some indepth stuff maybe a few reviews. That may just end up being this weekend. :P

The first game I'll do a review on is a game close to my heart, and it features a talking robot, a kick ass mage, a tough as nails prehistoric woman, and.. a talking frog.. You know what I'm talking about and if you don't.. well you will soon.

So until next time, stay Epik! and keep on fraggin!

Tim
